  (nest B)

chicks at day 3 & ~2.5
upper chick hatched at least 12 hours earlier than sibbling
slight size difference as a result - (nest B)

day 4
bigger 1 on its back in the scramble as the Bengalese left
scrawny chicks but both survived - (nest B)

day 5
clumped - heads in to centre - note dark skin and tufts of brown
egg is dummy canary - (for size reference)  (nest A)

day 7
still clumped, pin feathers showing on wings
note how much grown - compare size of dummy egg  (nest A)

day 9 - not clumped - some facing outwards
pin feathers developing on wings - eyes not quite open
(they have grown - look at rel. size of dummy egg)
  (nest A)

Day 11
eyes open  (nest A)
